SYNOPSIS
Kyiv, March 2022. Tina, an anthropologist specialising in displacement, is preparing to move to Berlin with her partner Yuri, an architect. Their future looks bright — until war erupts in Ukraine. With men barred from leaving the country, Tina faces an impossible choice: leave alone or stay with Yuri. She stays.
As their friends rush to marry before one heads to the frontlines, Tina quietly seeks illegal ways to help Yuri escape — while finding unexpected purpose in volunteer work. A visit to Bucha shatters them both. Their relationship fractures. The building Yuri refused to condemn collapses. Everything crumbles.
Tina, who built her career studying displacement, now confronts the truth she has always avoided: she is one of them. Once a refugee from Luhansk, she has spent years keeping the idea of home at a distance — until it demands an answer from her.
